From the Beginning The Grant Bradley Gallery, St Peters Court, Bedminster Parade, was opened by the then Lord Mayor of Bristol, Cllr Peter Abraham, on 31st October 2005. Two years later, HRH The Princess Royal, visited the Gallery to unveil a plaque officially opening the St Peters Court Development. The Grant Bradley Gallery is situated in the former Bedminster Library which was built by George Wills in 1914 at a cost of 10,000. A spokesman for The Gallery, said: We aim to bring world class art into a local community as well as promoting the work of new and regional artists. Since it opened, the Gallery has become a friendly meeting place for local residents, a showcase for artists from Bristol as well as from other cities all round the world and a fundraising site for The Grant Bradley Trust which helps a wide range of good causes. It hosts meetings, parties, events, art markets, craft fairs and summer events for schoolchildren. It welcomes visits by groups and schools to meet artists who are exhibiting in the gallery.
