Brooksart 9th - 31st October The Grant Bradley Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of paintings, prints and photographs from artists represented by Brooksart, in October 2009. Brooksart is an Artists' Agency aimed at supporting established and emerging artists, by bringing their art work to different venues, in order to reach a wider audience. Following three successful exhibitions in Swindon and Clevedon, Jonquil Brooks, Brooksart's Marketing and Design Services Manager plans to develop a series of Open Exhibitions in venues across the South West over the next twelve months. Artists interested in participating can contact her at Grant Bradley Gallery during much of October. The fourth Brooksart exhibition includes diverse subject matter such as the mystical and nocturnal themes explored by Ron Pyatt, a highly innovative and experienced artist who combines a range of mixed media with digital developments in his paintings. Ron has participated in numerous exhibitions, one person shows and Open Exhibitions over his long career as a gifted painter and printmaker. Gordon Burns is a photographer with a unique eye for composition and thought provoking images, combines both figurative and abstract elements in his pictures. He is also a fine art publisher known as Skylight Publishing, producing high quality archival digital prints from original artwork for a wide number of clients. Photographer Alvin Jeffs recently successfully showed his dramatic and striking urban images during North Somerset Arts Week to much acclaim and has recently linked up with Brooksart for this exhibition. Currently Richard Brooks is a figurative artist and illustrator with over 35 years experience employed principally as an architectural illustrator, though he trained in Fine Art. Richard has had work exhibited at the RWA Friends Exhibition and numerous other venues. His original commissioned artworks grace the walls of many boardrooms across the UK. As with Richard, Robert Goldsmith a member of the Dubounni Painters in Cheltenham, is a highly accomplished water colour artist and spent over 20 years as an illustrator of books and cards for well known publishers. His ability to capture watery reflections , delicate and intricate detailing and the nuances of mood is rarely equalled by his peers. Several other emerging artists will be joining those above for this mixed and lively exhibition. The aim is to have wide appeal to suit a cross section of tastes at affordable prices. Prints start from a modest level of 40.00 and could make original and enchanting Christmas gifts. Public preview Friday 9th 6:30 - 9pm [ back to exhibitions ] |
