The Grant Bradley Gallery welcomes submissions from artists

We hire our two gallery spaces to artists, who submit a proposal to the gallery. Artists are selected by the gallery manager and its trustees.

Costs: (2009 prices - subject to change )

Main gallery: �800 for 4 weeks

Mezzanine: �400 for 4 weeks

Whats included in the hire price

The gallery provides a technician to oversee the hanging of the show. The essential equipment for hanging a show such as drills, laser level and ladder are provided by the gallery.

The gallery provides staff to invigilate the work through out the duration of the exhibition.

The gallery will raise the publicity of an exhibition through sending out a press release to media including regional papers, magazines, radio and television.

The exhibition will be included in our quarterly brochure. 5000 copies will be distributed in venues and door to door through out Bristol.

All exhibitions and related events are advertised on the gallery website.

The gallery sends out a monthly newsletter via email to 600+ friends of the gallery inviting them to the show.

The gallery is able to provide labels for the art work mounted on foam board �1.50 each.

Important facts to remember about hanging your show

Tell us in advance:

If you will be requiring any special equipment e.g. additional Lighting, power access etc.

If you wish to hang any work in a more usual way e.g. from the ceiling

We suggest the use of mirror plates on the back of your work to ensure that paintings / photographs can be secured properly to the wall.

Private view

We can arrange for the gallery to open for a preview of your work. You will need to pay for a minimum of three staff to be present at a cost �10 per hour each.

We can arrange wine and catering for the event but this cost will be invoiced to the artist.

We also have the capabilities to have live music, we can organise this, but the cost of any band would be paid for by the artist.

Insurance

We advise that artists insure their own work, as the galleries insurance only provides basic cover.
