Background: The Robinson’s Building

E. A. & A. Robinson moved their paper-bag and printing business to Bedminster in 1887. Their first factory was built on the junction of East Street and St. John's Road. In 1902, due to a lack of space, they took an innovative step of jacking up the roof of this building and inserting two extra floors. The building is still there, but now occupied by the world famous Cameron Balloons. Robinson's built a much bigger factory, behind the first in 1897. This building was huge and although now long empty dominates one end of East Street.

Urbis Development is delivering a meticulous refurbishment and conversion of this historic landmark building.

Today:
Continuing the gathering momentum of regeneration and investment in South Bristol, this historic building will provide a range of exceptional homes including duplex and loft style apartments. Options include: 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments and 1 & 2 bedroom duplex apartments offering panoramic views. Through the communal entrance from East Street is a hallway leading to stairs and a lift up to the first floor level and the Atrium. This entrance lobby is where the winning artwork will be hung.
