Celebrating Mandela’s birthday at The Grant Bradley Gallery

The Gallery Film Club, in the Grant Bradley Gallery, Bedminster Parade, will show the film “Mandela” as part of the Afrika Eye film festival on Mandela’s birthday – Friday 18th July.

The film tells the life story of Nelson Mandela until his inauguration in 1994 as South Africa’s first black President and was made with the support of Mandela. A member of ACTSA – Action for South Africa – will attend the film club launch. Bristol’s Rednotes choir will sing the South African anthem.

Phone 01179 637673 to make a booking. Tickets are available on the door and cost £5, concessions £2.50. Screening starts at 8pm with refreshments available from 7pm. Free parking is available for three hours in the adjacent public car park next to Asda, Bedminster.
