Making Sense' - Workshop 17th March, between 11am to 3pm See how touch and sight can play tricks with your brain, and make a colourful sense wheel of your own! To celebrate International Brain Awareness Week, the University of Bristol, the University of the West of England and the Grant Bradley Gallery warmly invite you to a FREE drop-in arts and science event for people of all ages and abilities led by artist Shelley James. Visitors will be invited to 'hunt' for materials by touch alone to explore how the hand can deceive the eye. Help will be on hand to add a personal message and create a colourful sensory pinwheel to take home - perhaps a special gift for Mother's day. This will also be the last chance to see the Second Sight exhibition, to meet the artist, and to learn more about how the work was made. Blind and partially-sighted people are especially welcome, with all material available in Braille, udio and large-print formats and dedicated support throughout the event. It should be a fun and exciting day out for everyone! For more information visit www.dana.org/edab/baw/ [ back to exhibitions ] |
